What tools do I use in my consultations to accurately measure the biochemistry of my patients?

These are some examples of tests used, but there are many possibilities to measure and analyze what we consider in consultation that could be affected in our patient and it is essential to do so to reverse these causes. Precision medicine allows us to make individualized and precise medicine to be more effective in our treatments.

Immunological status:

It allows us to assess the functioning of our immune system and possible germs that may be present in our body. It is a particularly important instrument in autoimmune diseases, fatigue, fibromyalgia and neurodegenerative.

Hormone and precursor assay:

In-depth evaluation of the hormonal status of our patients is essential, since hormones are important signaling of the energy state of the body, stress axes and sexual functions and antiage.

This in-depth assessment is fundamental in perimenopause, in athletes, in people who want to change body composition, who feel fatigue, fertility problems, etc.

In-depth evaluation of estrogen metabolism is essential in women are symptoms such as premenstrual tension, history of fibroids, myomas or estrogen-dependent pathology.

It is also essential to evaluate endocrine disruptors in urine.

Liver detoxification studies:

A study that provides us with many data and the ability to intervene. Knowing our ability to detoxify in such a toxic world and be able to improve it is fundamental not only in pathology but in antiage medicine. It is essential in patients with central sensitization processes, neuroinflammation, chronic pain or persistent fatigue.

Neurotransmitter Assessment:

In this sense we can study them in urine, blood or even fecal matter, depending on the reason that we need to assess. It allows us to know the production status of neurotransmitters and the most important cofactors for their production. It is also possible to study our genetics in relation to the possibility of suffering depression or anxiety, dementia or neuroinflammation.

Mineralogram:

In neurodegenerative diseases, as well as in patients with fatigue and fibromyalgia it is essential to evaluate the heavy metal deposit. We know that metals are predisposed to deposit in fatty tissue, seriously affecting organ function, so they should be evaluated in tissues such as hair or nails. In addition to investigating the values of essential minerals.

Dosage of mycotoxins:

These studies are important in children with neurodevelopmental problems, persistent inflammatory processes or patients with mastocyte activity. It is also interesting to assess the exposure to toxic substances such as glyphosate in all people who are suspected of exposure.

Organic acids:

They allow us to assess our own metabolism and even the presence of some germs in our microbiota that can interfere with human metabolic processes. It is essential in neurodevelopmental diseases such as ASD or ADHD and in neurodegenerative diseases. Even in metabolic or neurodegenerative pathologies, since it allows us to assess the metabolism of neurotransmitters and even detoxification or oxidative stress.

Cell inflammation profile or omega test on erythrocytes:

This test is essential to know our composition and ability to deinflame and regenerate, both in patients with pathologies as in antiage medicine or athletes who want to optimize their performance.

Intestinal, oral or vaginal microbiota:

It is one of the most used tests in precision medicine, because it impacts on the chronic infamation of the body and this is directly related to all diseases and even premature aging. It is used not only in patients with gastrointestinal symptoms, but also in inflammatory, autoimmune and neurological diseases. It is fundamental in alterations of the neurodevelopment, in elite athletes and as a protocol of antiage medicine. Some determinations allow not only the microbiota to be assessed, but also markers of intestinal permeability, inflammatory response, digestion markers and in some cases neurobiology of the intestine.

The most modern are made by DNA techniques and allow us to make precise interventions as regards antibiotics or antimycotics, probiotics, enzymes, mucosal regeneration, restoration of the PH, the bile acids, interventions in neurobiology and digestive immunology, which is elementary because of its systemic impact.
